Policies & Procedures

Recreational Class Refund Policy

Prior to the beginning of the program, a refund for the full session is available with no administrative fee. Once the session has begun, a pro-rated refund will be issued, less a $15.00 administrative fee. Alternatively, a pro-rated credit can be applied to your account for future use, for any member of your immediate family, with no administrative fee.

There is no refund for the $35.00 Gymnastics Ontario registration/insurance fee.

Discipline Policy

If a child is not listening, is being aggressive, or is causing disruptions during class, they will be asked to sit on the bench for a few minutes until they are able to participate safely. Please allow the coaches to deal with the child. Should the coach require a parent’s help, they will seek you out. If a child is asked to sit on the bench numerous times throughout the lesson, the issue will be discussed with the parent at the end of class in order to come up with a plan for future classes. If the problem can not be solved and a child continues to be unsafe or cause harm to others, they may be asked to leave the class. In the unlikely event that this step is necessary, a refund will be issued for classes remaining in the session less a $5 administrative fee.

Injury Policy

In the event that your child incurs a mild injury during class a coach will look after them and provide minor first aid (ice packs, band-aids, rest, and monitoring). Should the coach require assistance from a parent they will seek you out. If a child is able to return to class our staff will fill out a minor incident form and the parent will be made aware of the injury at the end of class. If a child is unable to return to class that day, parents will be contacted and an injury report will be filled out following class. You will receive a phone call the following day to check up on your child’s well being. If, once at home, your child requires medical attention, please contact us as soon as possible. In the event that your child needs immediate medical attention, parents will be notified, and decisive action will be taken. An injury report will be completed by our staff. We will contact you the next morning if we have not yet received an update on your child’s condition. A member of our staff will remain in contact with you through your child’s recovery.

Late Arrival and Pick Up Policy

Safety is our number one concern at Muskoka Limberettes. For the safety of your child please make sure you arrive on time for classes. Missing warm-up puts your child at a higher risk of injury. If you are entering the gym late please make sure a coach is aware of your child’s arrival and they are checked off on our attendance sheets. If you need to take your child early from class please make sure you speak with a coach before you take your child out of they gym. Children will not be able to leave the gym without a parent or guardian present. Please contact the office before classes begin if you have any instructions regarding who is authorized and who is not authorized to pick up your child.

Viewing Area

Our viewing area is located on the second floor. You can access it by the elevator or by the stairway at the end of the hall by the woman’s changeroom. This is a shared space with the Sportsplex, so please be respectful of those using the track. All outdoor shoes must be removed prior to crossing the track. There is to be no food or beverages in the viewing area. Viewing is to be done from the viewing area only; the track is not to be used for viewing. Parents are responsible for monitoring children in the viewing area; they should not be running or playing on the track. Should you wish to use the track or cardio equipment please see the front desk to purchase a track pass. Parents are not permitted to view from inside the gym.

Gymnastics requires a lot of focus. Please refrain from talking to your child over the glass or distracting them in any way.

Photography Policy

The Bracebridge Sportsplex has a no photography policy within the facility. Once per session we will have a photo week where you will be able to take photographs and videos of your child participating in gymnastics. There is to be absolutely no flash photography, as it can be blinding to athletes in the middle of their skills.
